Join us for Estate Planning: Making a Trust. This informative session will be held on Thursday, September 17 beginning at 6 pm in the Brownsville Community Library Kirk Room, which is located at 146 Spaulding Ave. in Brownsville, Oregon. Local attorney Danielle M. Myers is donating her time as guest speaker. This session is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. No registration is required. Your attendance and General questions are welcome. Brownsville Library presents "Syria, Jordan and Lebanon" October 15, 2026, at 7 pm in the Kirk Room at the Brownsville Community Library. Long the scene of clashing cultures, the Middle East struggles to take its place in the world. Traditional life and friendly people richly reward the traveler. Retired photo tour guide, Don Lyon features images from a June 2000 trip through three countries in this World Cultures and Travel program. These countries are so often in the news and yet so misunderstood in the US.  Lyon was a graduate student at the American University of Beirut in 1970.  He brings an expansive knowledge of the history and culture of the area as well as dramatic storytelling images. Readers with a World Cultures and/or Travel topic to share are invited to contact Librarian Sherri Lemhouse at 541 466 5454.

December 3 – December 12 Book Sale       

Each year we have an annual book sale that fills our Kirk Room! There are books from all walks of life. Books are available for adults, juniors and children; non-fiction (true) and fiction (made up). Many of these books are donated by our community. A few are books that have had to be pulled from the Library collection. Paperbacks $0.50 Hardback, Audio, Video $1 We will also have a limited amount of creatively (and beautifully) wrapped blind date books starting at $8 each
